PROTECT ARULA

Arula is another Golden Tabby Bengal here at Tiger Creek. Arula means “God’s Light”, and she is quite the outgoing and dominant girl. She was brought to Tiger Creek to help protect this unique line of tigers. The facility where her parents were, wanted to ensure that if a disease broke out in their compound or some other catastrophe occurred, the genetics would be preserved through these amazing big cats. 

Arula is a part of the DNA study that Tiger Creek is participating in with Texas A&M. We want to get a genetic snapshot of what sub-species of tigers we have in captivity and test to see how closely individuals are related to each other to avoid inbreeding.
