How to apply to be a volunteer

Just like everything else at Tiger Creek, we only accept the best and highest standards for our volunteers. Volunteers must apply to be considered for a volunteer position, which can be done by visiting the "Engage" tab at TigerCreek.org and applying through the link provided. Once your application and resume have been received, you may be contacted to set up a time to interview! During your interview, you will be asked about your resume and many situational questions. You will be given an explanation of all duties for the department you have applied for. Keeper Assistants will assist with the daily duties of Animal Care, while a Maintenance volunteer will assist our maintenance team with projects to keep our animals happy and our park running smoothly! Your duties will simply depend on what volunteer position you apply for. So pick what you love! Your interview will be the time to let your passion and knowledge shine, you're talking to someone that is just as passionate as you are.

Once your interview is scheduled, be sure to have a quiet place to complete the interview. You will be asked about your resume, work history, and why you're interested in volunteering at Tiger Creek. Do you have future goals to work in the animal husbandry field? Are you passionate about educating others on the importance of sanctuaries? Do you have a drive to learn about each species and teach it to others? Each volunteer field has a direct correlation to a different necessity for the animals in our care.

Our volunteers need to consent to a background check ($165), provide proof of a negative TB test result, and be willing to contribute at least 60 hours annually.

If any of this sounds like you, apply! We are always looking for ways to introduce more people to the work we do and share the care of our amazing residents.
