Waterfall Habitat 2005
In 2004 we started on a waterfall habitat as an excercise yard for the tigers in the small compound to rotate into. That project was completed in December 2005.

Not only have we grown in big cats and corresponding facilities, but our staff has grown also. It is no longer just Terri, Brian and a handful of volunteers.

In 2001 we started an internship program where college students can get credit and/or experience in the big cat management field.

Over the years our intern program has grown and we now take up to 5 interns per term. They stay for 3 months at a time and live on site. We have had interns from all over the world.

By 2004 we employed an Office Manager and Senior Animal Keeper.

In 2005 we dug a lake that will become a habitat for endangered water fowl, and the dam will be a cat walk and a starting point for big cat habitat areas.

We started our second phase of development in 2006, which consists of a building to house a walk in freezer, feed prep room and work shop known as Support Services. A new security system allows for surveillance and monitoring. Also, a perimeter fence was began, and land was cleared to build additional natural habitat enclosures.

We have a large plan in the works. We will continue to rescue big cats, educate the public about endangered species, particularly tigers, and strive to promote and assist in conservation efforts on behalf of the tiger.
