Progress: More Enclosures!

Tiger Creek grew nationally and internationally via media from all over the world. Some of this media included The Washington Post, The Chicago Tribune, The Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, Paul Harvey, The Early Show on CBS, Inside Edition, Good Morning America, A&E’s Investigative Reports, CNN Headline News, and various newspaper and TV shows in Germany, Holland, Korea, and more.

Our biggest exposure came in 2002 from a TV show called "Growing up Tiger" which is shown on Discovery's Animal Planet network. It documents the first year of life for two Tiger Creek cubs know as Lily and Sarge. This was an exciting time for us. We finally got to show people our love and compassion for these beautiful animals. The show has aired for years and it continues to capture hearts.

We have emails from people all over the world who send their words of encouragement to us. Some of those same people travel amazing distances to Tiger Creek to see the cats, especially Lily and Sarge. Check our News & Events section for the Animal Planet schedule for "Growing Up Tiger".

Lily & Sarge, 2003

Each year Tiger Creek added more enclosures to accommodate more cats. When 6 tigers and 2 leopards were rescued from a safari park that was closed down we developed the temporary space called "the small compound” into which we moved our two cougars and the new big cats.
