Our First Pen

Tiger Creek began with a couple of enclosures to house the first cats – Sammy, Lexie and then Piffer. To the side of these enclosures could be found (not shown) our original “gift shop” which was a clothes line with t-shirts on hangers. We also offered visitors a cold soda pop vending machine!

Those early years were lean, and many people and many resources served double duty as we worked to build this dream into something special. Labors of love are that way.

Animal Care Center

As Brian and Terri continued to talk to people and recruit volunteers, Tiger Creek started to blossom and was able to care for more and more big cats. One thing that hasn't changed in the more than 10 years since Tiger Creek opened is the on-going number of big cats that need a good home. If we can't take a cat we love it when we can find other sanctuaries who can adopt them.

In early 2000 we experienced a time of rapid growth as we built many smaller enclosures and three large exercise yards. We had help from the local motorcycle club, individuals and companies. Thank you to every-one who pitched in their valued time and much needed materials!
