In 1995 Brian Werner took a step forward on behalf of the endangered Tiger when he chartered Tiger Missing Link Foundation, the parent organization of Tiger Creek.
This act was the culmination of events and experiences, research, and from an association and friendship with Terri Block.

Through their combined efforts Brian and Terri started working a plan to develop a big cat sanctuary that would become known as Tiger Creek Wildlife Refuge. The name came from a small spring-fed creek that runs through the middle of a 25 acre property in East Texas that Brian had purchased in years previous.
